I was a first time homebuyer when I worked with Brett to buy a house. I knew hardly anything going in but after working with Brett I would say I’m comfortably versed now.
You can tell Brett is very passionate about what he does and he likes what he does, which is comforting. He was very receptive to me and my personality. He’s a very welcoming person so he made everything easy.
One thing I appreciated about Brett was how honest he was when we’d do a walkthrough of a house. He would tell me things he noticed that I hadn’t noticed. It was often little things like the kitchen not having a dishwasher, but also things that would be a much bigger problem than the home lets on. I came into one house and was blown away like, “This is really cute, I love this, I can see myself doing this.” And he said, “Ok, it’s going to take these things.” He had me do a pro/con list after we looked at the house and it helped me realize it would be more work than I initially realized.
I ended up buying a condo, and I’m very happy there. Brett knew what I wanted better than me at the time because he’s familiar with the process and what’s out there. He encouraged my thought process the entire time. The way he spoke about the process was welcoming and enlightening for a first time home buyer.
Brett is easy going, but determined. He’s very laid back, easy to talk to, fun to be around. He’s very professional, but he’s not buttoned up, which is good for me. I felt very comfortable around him from the get-go and through the entire process.
Brett is always paying attention. He’s very observant. The way he talks and presents himself feels very laid back, but he’ll ask those helpful questions to help you better understand what it is you're looking for. He’s very good at that.
He was very communicative throughout every stage of it too. We’d talk through it in as much detail as I needed. He was very easy to text or call. It was always whatever worked best for me really. I don’t think he ever said, “Hey, I can’t do that.” So, that was nice.
I would work with Brett in the future. He’s comfortable, easy to talk to, and I’m friends with him to this day. He’s a good guy.
